Tank and I are new members of the Las Vegas Hunting Retriever Club and we ran their trial, held in Overton, in February 2009. This was the 2nd day and his 2nd leg. I really enjoyed how creative the judges were and included in this video their dialog about starting the test with the duck call. I also loved trying their senario with the 'Walk Up', where the bird was released while we were still walking to the line. From there, I had to sit Tank and have him concentrate on his marking of the bird.

We tried our luck at our first hunt test. We’d never seen Pheasants, which they used on the land retrieve, so I wasn’t sure how he would do, but he was fine. He’d only seen one frozen duck, so I was a little unsure there too, but again, he was fine : )

Below is a video of ‘Sit Means Sit’ featured on Faithful Friends TV Show on Animal Planet.

We actually were interviewed and filmed for this sport back in August of 2008. We invited many of our Sit Means Sit Dog Training Clients to come out and show off their dogs. I advertised it on my blog as well. It was one of the hottest days of the summer, but we performed very well. Flip even demonstrated her famous ‘backflip’ move, which is our favorite and it turns out the used it in the footage.

Performing at a Trade Show

Lianne Hassen and Ashton Fitz-gerald demonstrate Tank, Trell, Shep and Pharoah at a trade show at Paris Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas. Our dogs love to perform and it is fabulous when companies hire us for their trade show booths because they always get more of a show than they ever expected. Our dogs are interactive with the crowd, flashy and hilarious.

Tank’s First Duck!!!

We had a fun day at the Las Vegas Hunting Retriever Club's Fun Day! Tank was able to try retrieving a duck for the first time, which ofcourse gave him no problem, I on the other hand am still getting over the whole 'bird thing'.
